STRIKEFORCE FT LAUDERDALE DEBUT ROCKS THE HOUSE!
MMA fans were in for a treat last
night at Ft Lauderdale's Bank Atlantic Center.

We saw HEISMAN TROPHYwinner HERSCHEL
WALKER make his successful MMA debut at 47 years
old. According to his BJJ coach, DAVE CAMARILLO of
AKA, Herschel followed the game plan. Pro Wresling
superstar BOBBY LASHLEY remained undefeated due to
ref stoppage vs UFC veteran and ULTIMATE FIGHTER
contestant WES "THE PROJECT" SIMS. Women's
STRIKEFORCE CHAMP CHRISTIANNA CYBORG successfully
defended her title against the very game MARLOES
COENAN. Although CYBORG won due to ref stoppage in
round 3, Marloes proved to be a very tough and
exciting fighter. Styles make fights and the JAY
HIERON/JOE RIGGS fight may have seemed a little
boring at times, it had it's exciting moments. Jay,
with UFC standout GREY MAYNARD in his corner was on
a 3 fight win streak. Jay seemed like he could'v
finished the very skilled Riggs if not for his badly
injured eye which impaired his vision. Although
he did get the W by unam dec, it may not have been
impressive enough to get a shot at NICK DIAZ's
title.
The
FIGHTS OF THE NIGHT were undeniably....
"RUTHLESS"
ROBBIE LAWLER'S come from behind KO of vicous
DUTCH/SUDANESE MELVIN MANHOEF and New STRIKEFORCE
Champ NICK DIAZ's KO of the very dangerous DREAM
WORLD CHAMP, Lithuanian MARIUS ZORIMSKIS. Melvin,
who KO'd MARK HUNT in 20 seconds is considered to
be one of the most deadly strikers in the world was
hurting RUTHLESS ROBBIE badly with leg kicks.
According to his cornerman UFC Hall of Famer MATT
HUGHES, Robbie"s plan was to bait him and take him
to the ground. When he couldn't get Melvin to the
ground Robbie knew he had to get the knockout.The
fans went totally insane, myself included when heavy
handed Robbie dropped and KO'd Melvin with one of
the best KO's in MMA. Even though PAT MILITICH
wasn't there, I'm sure he was super proud of one of
his favorite proteges.
CARLSON GRACIE Black
Belt, NICK DIAZ once again proved to be unstoppable
vs DREAM CHAMP MARIUS ZORIMKIS.
Possibly one
of his toughest opponents to date, Nick wanted to
take the dangerous Lithuanian striker to the ground.
With brother NATE DIAZ{ULTIMATE FIGHTER winner and
UFC fighter} in his corner, Nick took care of biz as
usual after appearing in trouble himself and
pounding the very tough Zorimkis out winning the
STRIKEFORCE Welter Weight Belt. AS in the Lawler
fight, the crowd was going wild.

MENDEZ, GREGOR MOUSSASSI, KING MO, UFC Contender
Thiego Alves, UFC THIEGI SILVA, UFC Veteran and
STRIKEFIGHTER and BULLY BEATDOWN star JASON "MAYHEM"
MILLER.
Can Strikeforce
keep the momentum going at this lightening
pace???...Sure looks like it!DAN HENDERSON is gonna

MOUSASSI vs KING
MO, FEDOR and FABRICIO WERDUM, SHINYA AOKI and
